Actor Karan Mehra is probably the most beloved person on the small screen. A lot of his fandom is attributed to his humble ways, both on and off the screen and the fact that he wears his heart on his sleeves. The actor shared one such moment recently with his fans via social media. Karan went live from the sets of his upcoming show ‘Khatmal-E-Ishque’ but to the surprise of his fans, instead of getting a scoop about the new show Karan became nostalgic about his first appearance on ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai’.
On 6th March, 2009, ‘Naitik’ made his first appearance on national television and soon became a permanent fixture on the small screen. A bond that Karan and his fans shared for almost 8 years. Karan was very excited as a blast from the past and the beginning of a new chapter both seamlessly overlapped.
While addressing his fans, the small screen heartthrob said, ‘Today is a bit special because today is 6th March and 8 years back my first episode of Yeh Rishta…was telecasted which of course you people remember. I am feeling a bit nostalgic because that was a time when a new show and a new chapter was beginning in my life and today 8 years after another chapter is starting as Sumit Mishra, the character I am playing in Khatmal-E-Ishque’.
Another interesting coincidence is going to be the first episode costume. ‘Naitik’ was wearing a crisp white suit in his debut episode and ‘Sumit Mishra’ will also be seen in white in the first episode. It seems like white is a lucky colour for Karan.
Karan’s fans must be really excited as he has managed to break a perception barrier that is associated with most Tv stars. Karan, best known for his drama series, YRKKH will be seen in an absolutely fresh avatar. Khatmal-E-Ishque is situational rom-com revolving around an average Joe from the corporate world tired of the rut he is stuck in.
To the absolute delight of his fans who have been jonesing to catch a glimpse of Karan on Tv, Karan informed his fans that Khatmal-E-Ishque will be premiering on SAB TV on 8th March, 10 p.m.
