Meet the sizzling Shubhi Grover who is gearing up for Mrs. India 2017 grand finale

There is something incredibly attractive about a beautiful woman who can speak extremely well. It’s a powerful combination and Shubhi Grover epitomises the best of both qualities. Beautiful in not just the way she looks and dresses but also in her speech being eloquent in both English and Hindi. It was therefore no surprise that she was one of the hot contestants at the preliminary rounds of Mrs. India 2017 where she wowed judges and audience alike with her beauty, style and attitude. 

Originally from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, Shubhi was quite the go-getter even as a kid having a keen sense and admiration for fashion and latest trends. Her dreams started taking wings after she set her foot in Mumbai 10 years ago. With her pleasant face and fit body, she soon started taking up print shoots. But what turned the tide in her favour was her fashion apparel business called Social Butterfly. 

“This brand being mine and my partner Tv actress Navina Bole’s baby, we felt it needed a push in terms of us showcasing what Social Butterfly is all about and the kind of apparels we were selling so that we could effectively reach out to our audience,” says Shubhi.

And this was just a start of Shubhi. With her pictures and posing skills getting good appreciation, Shubhi decided to chase her childhood dream of modelling and trying her hand at beauty contests. Then Mrs. India 2017 happened. 

Talking about her experience, Shubhi shares, “It was a terrific experience. We had the best of people training us from renowned fashion choreographer Lovell Prabhu to other esteemed jury members. From table etiquettes to ramp walk to personality development, we had many grooming sessions. We had fitness and functional training conducted by last year’s Mr. Pune and interaction with magazine editors. Then we got an opportunity to do many photoshoots that helped us to know the camera better and improve our posing skills.”

All training came in handy as Shubhi ended up winning Mrs. India trendsetter in the preliminary rounds. “The judges found me as one of the most stylish contestants. On my part, I focused a lot on dressing well. In the corporate round, I team up a nice jumpsuit with a blazer which was red in colour. I specifically chose red because I felt it highlighted my personality well which also helped me stand out.”

In terms of inspiration from the world of fashion, she looks up to two personalities- One being Sonam Kapoor who is the undoubtedly the ruling fashionista of B-town and the other one being the former VP of Dior, Kalyani Chawla. 

With the finals fast approaching on 4th July, Shubhi is all geared up for the final challenge. And the date couldn’t have been better because it also coincides with her husband Tv actor Abhinav Kapoor’s birthday. ” Abhinav is my support system. He has always encouraged me to chase my dreams and I am fortunate to have a life partner like him. I am ready for the finals and will give it my best to win the crown.”
