Eclectic and glamorous, the preview collections of Como India Beach Fashion Week held at Olive Bar & Kitchen

Come 26th October and all heads will be turned to the 5th edition of the Como India Beach Fashion Week, being held at Goa, the glamorous beach destination for world travellers. An impressive line-up of designers such as Vikram Phadnis, Anand Kabra, Pallavi Jaikishan and Rocky S to name a few, will be showcasing their collections at this excellent platform. An exciting addition, Love Gen, the refreshing new label by Bhavna Pandey, Nandita Mahtani and Dolly Sidhwani, is set to stun both buyers and fashion aficionados alike. A taste of this eclectic collection was previewed to a packed audience at Olive Bar & Kitchen on Monday, 23rd October, whetting the appetite for the main event.
What’s in Store at Como India Beach Fashion Week to be held at Goa Marriot Resort and Spa, from 26th to 29th October, 2017
This sprawling beach front property in North Goa will play host to the Como India Beach Fashion Week. The perfect backdrop will showcase India’s one and only Beach and Resort Wear Collections by eminent designers.
A short overview of what is to come:
Anand Kabra, known for his ethnic Hyderabad influenced couture will open the 5th season to, what we predict, will be an overflowing audience. A master at fusing the ethnic with the contemporary, Anand Kabra’s vintage prints and embroidered patches showcased in splendid contemporary cuts and styles, are one of this season’s most awaited highlights.
Pallavi Jaikishen, the dame of the Indian bridal wear scene, is all set to showcase a lighter resort wear collection. A first for her, we can’t wait to see this collection unfold!
Love Gen promises to blow you away. In pop colors ranging from vibrant yellow to bright pinks, this trendy and chic collection is designed for comfort, in fabrics that breathe. Take your pick from cottons, jersey, viscose and knits. There’s more, with a cadet inspired line set to be a rage and the party line, with everything from drop shoulder and lace to flared trousers and fringed jackets. The runway will be on fire with this one!
Nidhi Munim will take you on a journey of soft hues, with her Grecian inspired line in soft drapes in colors of olive, white, sand and rose, with a dash of Ikat as well with her cruise wear and swimwear collections
Many exciting fashion collections from talented designers will lead to the much anticipated finale, with Vikram Phadnis taking center stage. His collection, in blues and greens, with embroidery in zardozi, kundan and pearl, which are his signature, is slated to be the glamorous finishing touch to the Como India Beach Fashion Week. A veteran, his flawless mastery is a given with this much anticipated jewel toned extravaganza.
Corona Sundowners with world class DJs and an Art Lounge as well as pop up stores for shopaholics are the other attractions for those lucky to be there.
