Arjumman Mughal admires Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha for their legendary acting skills
The beautiful Arjumman Mughal has the looks to entice and keep you hooked and booked to your seats. She did that when I met her for a one-on-one conversation. She is the perfect epitome of beauty with brains. Hailing from the beautiful land of Kashmir, Arjumman made her debut with Vishesh film’s, Ya Rab for which she won huge critical acclaim.
Ya Rab, directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala (Who made Vishesh Films’ Emraan Hashmi starrer The Killer, has Mahesh Bhatt supporting it throughout. The film produced under the banner of True Film by Hoori Ali and Mohsin Ali Khan deals with Islam and terrorism. “It is a film which passes the message that all Muslims are not terrorists and I am glad to be a part of such a film. It’s interesting how I got roped in too. It was all thanks to the writer of the film that I got called in for the audition. They wanted a girl who could speak Urdu and Arbi as my role requires me to cite verses from Quran too. I have studied Urdu till 9th hence it was like a perfect match,” said Arjumman remembering her critically acclaimed performance
Post Ya Rab, Mughal travelled abroad in South East Asia and Europe for various International assignments. On the film front, she has two films which will release soon.Tera Kya Hoga Lambodar is one of them where she is essaying the role of a Bollywood actress. The film also has the brilliant Pawan Malhotra playing a film director. Mughal is presently busy shooting for another film which is a romantic film being shot abroad.
The actress is also a known name in ad-world having more than 2000 ads to her credit including the likes of ICICI, Vodafone, Hindustan Unilever, Nokia and Videocon among many others, “I have enjoyed featuring in TV and Print commercials but I always wanted to get into films,” Mughal.
Mughal also looks at Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha for inspiration when it comes to acting. “When it comes to acting, style, grace and persona, no one can match the charisma of Mr. Bachchan or Rekhaji. Both are legendary.”
As far as dating goes, Arjumman will be swept off her feet if her guy takes her out on a nice romantic dinner date that has nice sufi music playing in the backdrop and drops her home safely. “I am a sweet and simple girl in that regard,” says Mughal.
