Set in a funky old factory in Powai with a landscaped surround and a bridge that’s not too far, this upbeat haven of ‘rhythm and brews’ fills each weekday night and Sundays with feel good moments in an ambience of ‘lushorious’ elegance. Geeta Kripalani (head of the project) says, “The erstwhile Blue Frog was very special and it definitely left a vacuum in the City. Live music in the City seemed to be just ‘noise and jangle’! For aesthetes in the City, the void also extended to good world cuisine and cocktails. Through Finch Rhythm & Brews, we created a special celebration space for family, friends, colleagues and business associates. Everything here from the chic to the couture to the cuisine to the cocktails is consistent, straightforward and yet with a surprise twist! The service is highly trained and immaculate. And the icing on the cake is Mumbai’s first and largest microbrewery with a capacity of 10 HL. And Mumbai joins its counterpart cities in the US, Australia and Belgium to have a microbrewery of this size and scale!” Finch has already got the licence to brew and will soon get the licence to serve.

The Finch headlines an impressive live music stage set-up with state of the art AV systems and lighting that provide the very best for artist performances. Music is key to the Finch as it pledges loyalty to classical, Jazz, Retro Pop, R & B, Soul, Folk and World Music with much awaited headliner acts every month from around India and Overseas (from as far as Australia, Europe and the East). New talent showcases and impressive house bands form its music profile every week with fun-themed nights, adding some vivacity to match. With velvet plush sofas, comfy chesterfield armchairs, multiple large LED screens and a section with clubby gentleman seating, this space is perfect for viewing live music or relaxing, watching sport on a lazy Sunday. The AV systems also include a 9 ft motorised drop down screen for projection and to facilitate a meeting.

Filipino vocalist Kat Aggarado and band will have 10-nights-in-a-row debut performance at Finch Rhythm & Brews including the ‘baby-making music’ they’re famous for! In early 2000s, Manila, the capital city of The Philippines, witnessed the birth of a new generation of independent bands inspired by the Pinoy soul movement. Their songs featured a range of influences, from jazz to funk, Motown soul music and rock. These genres were collectively termed as the Pinoy soul. One of the earliest bands to play this music was Sino Sikat, launched by Kat Aggarado in 2004. Manila-based Aggarado’s band includes Niki Cabardo (keyboard), Tim Dadivas (drums), Bergan Nunez (bass) and Carlos Jesena (guitar).

The Finch’s signature 21 ft. bar stands elegantly above the main restaurant space with interesting beer taps pouring straight fresh craft beers and ciders from its brewery. What is touted to be the largest microbrewery in town, The Finch will offer craft creations such as a Witbier, Hefeweizen, IPA, Nitro Stout and Apple Cider to begin with. A premium bar is well stocked with wines and spirits and artful cocktails.

Witbier, this masterful yeasty and enlivening quencher, was thankfully rebirthed from extinction by a milkman. Experience our incarnation of a pleasant malty-sweet grain flavour that is entwined with citrusy orange peels, making it refreshingly crisp.

BOMBAY DOCK – INDIAN PALE ALE

A passage to India from London by ship of a specially brewed batch, loaded with just picked hops saw the birth of the Indian Pale Ale. Experience our refreshing hoppy taste of the Bombay Dock that typifies this perfect malt and hops balance.

Barbara Weissand – HEFEWEIZEN

Traditionally loved by the royals of Bavaria, appreciate our cherished flavour on offer, first by the harmonised smell of fruit and spice in the form of banana and clove, followed by a fluffy mouth feel and a dry finish.

CLOUD BLACK – NITRO STOUT

Historically, the full-bodied black nitrogen infused black beer, is a result of the wisdom of a mathematician. Our pronounced roasted flavour akin to coffee and dark chocolate with a malty complexity possesses a silky texture and a dense cloud-like head.

PIP ‘N’ PEEL – APPLE CIDER

Our labour of love finds its origins from the rich in depth and character apples grown in the hills of Himachal. Deliciously fermented apple juice that relies on the wild yeast present make their way from the orchards to your glass.
