Casting director Girdhar Swami looking to launch new faces in 2019

Casting director Girdhar Swami is focused on casting good actors for his forthcoming projects. After casting for Andhadhun which has become the sleeper hit of the year, Girdhar now has his plate full with films like Bhaiaji Superhit, Hera Pher 3 and the sequel of Welcome.

Speaking about it, Girdhar said, “It has been a good year professionally as I got to work with some of the best directors and actors of our industry. Casting for different films was a challenge. The brief is always different and you have to rely upon your skills and find the right actor for the right role. I always cast as per the role required and whatever the script demands.”

The casting director is now looking forward for a vibrant 2019. “I am hoping 2019 will be as good if not better. I have some new projects lined up for which I am casting currently. I am also looking at seeing new profiles of talented actors and actresses. Bollywood now is producing great content driven cinema. So for all talented actors and actresses this is the best time to be in films. I am working on a few exciting projects for which I am currently searching different talented faces. I am looking to give Bollywood new talented faces in 2019.”

When asked how it felt to be part of a critically and commercially acclaimed movie like Andhadhun, Girdhar said, “It is a team work after all. But it feels good to see your hard work getting rewarded.
