Anupam Kher defends his friend Akshay Kumar, asks him to ignore trolls

Under fire actor Akshay Kumar got some much needed support from his long time friend Anupam Kher who defended Akshay’s Canadian nationality and urged the Padman actor to ignore social media trolls.

Taking to Twitter, Anupam wrote, “Dear @akshaykumar! Have been reading about you explaining to certain people about your loyalty to our country. Stop it! Their real profession is to make people like you & me feel defensive for talking in favour of India. You are a doer. You don’t need to explain to anybody.”

Akshay has been facing severe criticism after he recently declared that he holds a Canadian passport. The actor was trolled after he refused to answer a question relating to his absence during voting day in Mumbai. To put an end to this issue Akshay issued a public statement wherein he officially declared his Canadian nationality for the first time. However,the move backfired as it gave his detractors a chance to slam him.
