Three lives, three rapes, three murders, just in the name of three rupees. Article 15 ‘ s disturbing portrayal of how we are our caste first and Indians lastly has gotten one thing in our heads for sure : based on true life events this one is not going to be for the faint hearted. Anubhav Sinha is aiming for a smashing six after ‘Mulk’ and for sure this will cross the boundary just like last time. There is no stopping Ayushmann Khurrana here – who has visibly shown, pardon the language, other actors their ‘ aukaat’. This is no Chulbul Pandey nor slow-mo Singham, not even masala Simmba we are dealing with. This is a true Indian Khurrana cop served Sinha style .This is well etched overdose of proud khaki cardigan rather than the muscle hugging, white washed police uniform we are often shown on screens.
The trailer is indeed high on drama, tension, violence but swears to bring about a difference. Kumud Mishra is a obvious honorary mention, along with Sayani Gupta with her epic way of portraying the helpless. Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub steals the show with his one line wit – the very same Constitution with which we are sworn by is itself not practiced ;nor will people allow it if one Indian does. A personal favorite part of the trailer : the ridiculously perfect voice over of the lead in the sexiest accent of ‘shudh’ Hindi.
