Casting for Coolie No 1 was quite a challenge: Girdhar Swami

Girdhar Swami is the casting director of David Dhawan Coolie Number 1 remake. Talking about it, Girdhar said, “The brief from David sir was to find actors who would fit the bill as per current times. I went through the process of watching the original Coolie no 1 and studied each and every character in detail to understand their traits. I then started the casting process for it trying to look for actors who will seamlessly fit into every character.”

Girdhar is also looking forward to casting for hera pheri 3 and sequel of Welcome Back. He also considers the casting do Andhadhun close to his heart.
Speaking of how the year 2019 has been for his so far, Girdhar said , ” “It has been a good year professionally as I got to work with some of the best directors and actors of our industry. Casting for different films was a challenge. The brief is always different and you have to rely upon your skills and find the right actor for the right role. I always cast as per the role required and whatever the script demands.”
