Admist scrapping of article 370, performing at a wedding in Pakistan gets singer Mika Singh banned By AICWA

With recent scrapping of Article 370 in the state of J&K, tension arised between India and Pakistan since then. Pakistan has issued a ban on Indian Films and songs. In the midst of this a video of Singer Mika Singh performing at a wedding in Pakistan went viral.

Singer Mika Singh along with his crew performed for Pakistan’s ex President Pervez Musharraf’s relatives wedding ceremong held in Karachi. Mika reportedly charged USD 150,000 (Rs 1 crore) for his performance

Disappointed by this The All India Cine Workers Association has Banned And Boycotted Mika Singh from working any further.

AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta released a statement on tuesday that read, “AWICA bans and Boycotts Mika Singh from the Indian Film Industry, for performing at an high profile event in Karachi dates 8th August 2019. AWICA Takes a tuff stand of Immediately boycotting his association with movie production houses and music companies and online music content providers.”
It further stated, “AWICA will make sure that no one in India works with Mika Singh and if any dones they will face legal comsequences in the court of law, when the tension between both the countries are at peak. Mika Singh puts money above the Nation.”
The statement ended with a tagline ‘ Nation First, One Nation, One Dream

The singer is yet to make a statement on the ban.
