Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Day 1 Box Office Collection

After a hiatus of seven years, Karan Johar has made his directorial comeback with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He is well known for giving Hindi cinema some of the classic love stories. Hence, this was a highly anticipated movie. Ever since the release of the trailer, it had generated massive fan following. The storyline, cinematography, songs, grandiose of the sets, chemistry between the leads is worth a watch.

The film released in the theatres on Friday, July 28. On it’s very first day, the film earned 11.10 crore in India. Overseas, the film had a solid first day with a collection close to $1 million, with US/Canada numbers likely to be around $500k and Australia around A$110k. As far as the opening day collections of 2023’s Hindi films is concerned, the Karan Johar film is the fifth highest opener of the year. The top four spots are occupied by Pathaan (Rs 57 crore), Adipurush (Rs 36 crore), Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (Rs 15.81 crore) and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (Rs 15.73 crore). With an opening day collection of over 10 crores, RARKPK can be expected to see a jump over Saturday and Sunday as there are block bookings for the film and the reviews have been good so far. Due to positive word of mouth, the film may see a jump in the footfalls and collections. While the numbers recorded so far are good, they aren’t up to the mark for a KJo release. Despite heavy rains the afternoon and evening shows picked up showing good growth. RARKPK made a bold move to release just a week after the release of  the Barbenheimer.

Fans are eagerly flocking to theatres to witness the magical love story unfold on the silver screen. The film’s success not only highlights the powerful performances of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh but also reinforces their popularity among the audience. Their on-screen chemistry has undoubtedly struck a chord with moviegoers, making ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ a must-watch for cinema lovers.
