Dream Girl 2 Trailer Out!

Dream Girl was released in 2019. The concept was a breath of fresh air and fans loved the iconic character ‘Pooja’ played by Ayshamann Khurrana. It reminds us of movies like Chachi 420, who is known to be one of the classic family comedy films. Dream Girl became a fan favourite upon it’s release. So, the makers are back with a sequel of the film. Dream Girl 2 trailer was recently released and has received an overwhelming response from fans. The film stars Ayushamann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in leading roles. It is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa.
The trailer shows us Karamveer (Ayushamann) and his father who are in debt and struggle to get out of it. This time we see him not just voicing Pooja but also dressing up as her and the drama that unfolds which lands him at the wedding altar with a guy. There’s a lot of situational comedy unlike the usual slapstick comedy in the comedy genre. We also see Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav on the Big screen after long time. The trailer seemed to be lighthearted family comedy.
Dream Girl 2 was earlier supposed to release in July. However, it’s now arriving in theatres on August 25 now. The makers revealed that the delay was due to the extensive VFX work required for the film.
Talking about it, Ekta Kapoor who is co-producing the film, said, “We want Ayushmann Khurrana’s character to look perfect as Pooja in Dream Girl 2, and that’s why we are taking extra time to perfect the VFX work for the face. We want to ensure that our viewers get the best possible experience when they watch the movie. The VFX work for Dream Girl 2 is an integral part of the movie, and we want to ensure that we deliver a high-quality product to our audiences.” The leads also shared their thoughts on the film, Ayushamman said, “ Dream Girl 2 has been a joyride since the beginning. The script is hilarious, and I’m elated to bring laughter and entertainment in the lives of fans once again”. Ananya shared,” Working on Dream Girl 2 was an absolute blast, and I can’t wait for the audience to witness the fun we had while filming this comedy extravaganza”.
Dream Girl 2 is produced by Balaji Telefilms and directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. It is all set to release on 25th August.
