Ghoomer Trailer Review

R Balki directorial Ghoomer had it’s trailer release. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Sayami Kher and Angad Bedi in titular roles. AB plays the role of a strict cricket coach who had failed to fulfil his dreams and decides to coach a girl who had lost her right hand and had given up all hopes about making it all over again. One of the most important elements of this film is hope. Despite all the odds, she chose to rise above her strongest hurdles with the help of her coach who helps her in training as well as regaining her lost confidence. This film is unlike any other cricket or sports film for that matter, which usually chronicles around the lives of a particular sports personality. The most distinct feature about this film is that it is made up with with two fictional characters with cricket being the backdrop of the story. The film’s main focus is the two characters and their development throughout. Sayami has done exceptionally well since she has had some prior experience with cricket and seems to be fond of it, playing cricket on screen came naturally to her. Angad Bedi plays her childhood love interest in the film. Additionally, Amitabh Bachchan also has a cameo in the film. Overall, the trailer seems to be a good take on sports, cricket, hope and resilience. The film is all set to release in theatres on 18 August.
