OMG 2 Box Office Collection: Day 1, earns a good start of 9 crore

Pankaj Tripathi portrays Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devout worshipper of Lord Shiva, in OMG 2 and Akshay Kumar is revered as a divine messenger. Amit Rai’s OMG 2 has garnered positive reviews from the public. The movie, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar, and Yami Gautam, had a solid debut on day one of domestic distribution. Early estimates indicate that OMG 2 made 9.50 crore net on its opening day in India. On Friday, OMG 2 had a 37.53 percent Hindi occupancy overall. The movie was presented in theaters. OMG 2 is the follow-up to the Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar film, OMG.
In the movie, Pankaj Tripathi’s character battles the educational system in court to get his son justice. He portrays the part of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devout worshiper of Lord Shiva. Akshay Kumar is revered as a divine messenger of Shiva. Yami Gautam plays the role of a lawyer. Recently, Pankaj told news agency PTI, “The film is entertaining and towards the end it gives you a social message, it is an important message. It revolves around the issues of teenagers and towards the end it talks about sex education. We know the society will not become progressive or change because of cinema. But at the same time, the film keeps values and belief systems intact in a logical way. He had also added, “I’m from North Bihar and Yami is from Himachal Pradesh. We come from a strong, cultural, social and spiritual background. Because of our backdrop, whether it is a social drama or thriller film, we are mindful about what impact it (film) will have on the audience. As actors, we are always aware, as we have seen both urban and rural life closely.”
