Oh My God 2 (OMG 2) continues to do well at the domestic box office, making 135.9 crore nett so far, suggesting that adult certification is not a barrier. OMG 2 is now the fourth highest grossing Bollywood picture with an adult certificate, according to box office data collected by a study. The 2019 Bollywood film Kabir Singh is the most domestic box office revenue.

The movie OMG 2 is a sequel to the 2012 movie OMG – Oh My God, which starred Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar. Pankaj Tripathi plays Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devotee of Shiva who sues the educational system for deceiving his child, in Amit Rai’s OMG 2. Akshay stars as the messenger of Lord Shiva and Yami Gautam as an attorney in the film. Arun Govil, Aamir Naik, Fahim Fazli, Vedika Nawani and Parth Siddhpura, among others also feature in the film.

To prevent any backlash over the dialogue or scenes in OMG 2, it was claimed in July that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has implemented “preemptive measures.” After weeks of rumors, OMG 2 was given an A rating. The filmmakers desired a UA classification, which was unrestricted but had a parental discretion advice for children under the age of 12.

According to earlier reports, the CBFC reviewed OMG 2 with additional caution due to the negative publicity Adipurush had received after its release for its dialogue, costumes, and ‘cartoon-like graphics’. Akshay Kumar had recently joked about how OMG 2 got an A certificate from the CBFC, and said the film should actually be shown in schools.
