By: Priyal Joshi

The Vaccine War trailer, which had been highly anticipated, was unveiled on Tuesday. The movie, which stars Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi in the key parts, is reportedly the first bio-science film made in India and is based on a true story. The struggle of Indian scientists during the Covid-19 pandemic is depicted in the trailer.

The scientist in charge who embarks on their incredible mission to develop the first Covid-19 vaccine for India is played by Nana Patekar. Budget restrictions and inaccurate media portrayals are only two of the challenges these scientists encounter. The amount of female scientists working on the vaccine was also mentioned in the video.

The role of PM is portrayed by Anupam Kher in the film. A journalist named Raima Sen makes an appearance with the intent of defaming the government and the indigenous vaccination. Additionally, there are sections in the trailer that quote passages from the Mahabharat.

The description of the film reads, “The Vaccine War talks about the struggle of Indian scientists behind the development of vaccines and also unfolds many stories that went behind the curtains.” It is produced by Pallavi Joshi and I Am Buddha. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on September 28.
