Author Jaya Misra unveils her new book Kama:The Story of the Kama Sutra

The glitzy launch event of Jaya Misra’s book “Kama:The Story of the Kama Sutra” took place on 7th Of May 2018. The event was held at JLWA in Bandra by Om Books International.

Big ticket Bollywood faces like actor Arshad Warsi, film director Kabir Khan and Tv czarina Ekta Kapoor graced the event. Many other celebrities like Sandhya Mridul, Mandira Bedi, Gul Panag, Roshan Abbas, Maria Goretti and Manu Joseph also were spotted. The Event that was Scheduled To Start at 7 PM started fashionably late by about half an hour.

 

Hosting the evening was the gorgeous Mini Mathur. Mini Mathur began by introducing Ajay Mago, the Owner of Om Books International wherein Ajay expressed his excitement for the Book with a well-written charismatic speech.

Mini then proceeded to have a conversation with Jaya Misra on her book. The Renowned TV-Wed Series Writer and Documentary Director, Jaya Misra took great pride in her first venture as an author.

Talking about her book, Jaya said, “I’m overwhelmed by the response from early readers. They have not been able to put down the book and have finished it overnight! My friend Roshan Abbas finished it in 7 hours Straight!”.

 

Mini expressed her opinion on the book by discussing how the book is very contemporary and how it also has a feminist theme while also maintaining power with the male characters of the book. She then went on to seek out some familiar faces who had helped in developing the inception of this book to share with the audience their view on Kama. She wittily remarked them as “Friends of Kama.”

The first one to be called by Mini was Ex MTV VJ Maria Goretti followed by actress Sandhya Mridul and Roshan Abbas. All of them shared their Favorite paragraphs from the book. ” Jaya Is As Real As It Gets, As Brutal As It Gets and As Fashionable as It Gets” said Sandhya Mridul while Roshan’s wisecracks had audience in splits when he said, “You Can’t Censor Jaya, That’s why She Wrote Kama.”


Arshad Warsi Along with Kabir Khan and Ekta Kapoor also spoke a few words at the event thereby promoting the Book. The book launch concluded with Mini calling upon Jaya’s mother to show their combined regards for this milestone among the many other milestones to come in Jaya’s Career.
