Katrina Kaif to be the female lead in Satte Pe Satta remake?

Satte Pe Satta is a 1982 comedy film, directed by Raj N. Sippy starring Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Sakhti Kapoor, Amjad Khan. Director Farah Khan is set to direct the remake of the film. It is believed that the duo Hritik Roshan and Katrina Kaif will share screen space one again after Bang Bang and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Earlier the rumours stated that Deepika Padukone would would play the female lead role. However according to the latest report, Katrina Kaif has been roped in as the female lead, which was orginally played by Hema Malini. Official statement about the final cast is yet to be released.

Here’s what a source revealed, “Yes, the makers were considering many A-list actresses for the role. Considering that it was Hritik Roshan and also owing to the fact that they needed to fill in the shoes of Hema Maliniji, the makers had a tough choice to make. But eventually they thought Katrina would fit the bill. In fact, Katrina is quite honoured at the opportunity and she is also excited to play this interesting role.”

Adding further, “Satte Pe Satta indeed had an ensemble cast and it will take a while for makers to put in the cast together. As of now, talks are just on and as soon as all it is finalized, the regarding the same will be made.”

On the work front Katrina is busy with her upcoming Movie opposite Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi directed by Rohit Shetty and Hritik Roshan’s latest film Super 30 directed by Vikas Bahl is a superhit.
