Style tips this wedding season!! Sangeet/Cocktail ensembles – Aditi Karnik

A Wedding can easily be called the fashion week for the bride, groom and their close one’s for everyone is dressed to the nines and ready to walk the ramp to celebrate this special occasion. In this entire gush of preparation before the D-day, we are often stuck with a gamut of feelings around “the look” or “the dress” that will make us stand out. One such special and most awaited occasion is Sangeet, an evening absorbed in singing, dancing & rolling to the tunes of the DJ.

My sangeet function was followed by my engagement. Hence I went scouting for a lightweight, vibrant, traditional yet contemporary Lehenga. While boutique hopping, I came across a beautifully embroidered red net lehenga outlined with a patterned golden lace. To flaunt a contemporary spin, I customised an elegantly embellished navy blue velvet blouse juxtaposed with Orange dupatta designed with intricate floral embroidery. I opted for minimal imitation jewellery – gold plated with stones and matching dangling earrings.

# Tip: Vibrant shades enhance the glamour quotient for an evening event

The engagement was followed by the dance performances. While dancing to the tunes of Bollywood, I chose to change over to a beautiful royal blue embroidered Anarkali with mirror work on the standing collar. Given the intricacies in the collar design, I skipped the necklace and wore long dangling earrings. The style was perfect for stage as it added grace and sharpened the look. I got the perfect shot with my beau in this beautifully designed attire – the most precious moment I would call it.

#Tip: Comfort defines the best style in you” – whatever you decide on be sure to select an attire that is comfortable, as this brings out the best style in you. Narrowing down “THE OUTFIT” is simply curating a wardrobe that can be easily mixed and matched. Hunt for grace, vibrance, comfort & subtlety on your big day!!
