Actor anchor artiste Pooja Bhamrah bags web series
Year 2018 has begun extremely well for style diva Pooja Bhamrah who is making waves in the world of acting, anchoring, fashion and other performing arts. Soon to be seen in one of the year’s most awaited film “Fanney Khan”, pretty Pooja Bhamrah has bagged a new web series to be directed by an ace filmmaker who had earlier helmed a wedding film starring a leading Bollywood actress.
Punjabi kudi Pooja Bhamrah is also in final stages of discussions with another ace director for one more web series. The flurry of roles is a result of Pooja Bhamrah’s dedicated acting-training stints under some of the biggest histrionics Gurus – Neeraj Kabi, Mukesh Chhabra, Chris Edmund (who mentored Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman) and Dalip Sondhi amongst others.
Fashionista Pooja Bhamrah, who has hosted Pro-Kabaddi and Kabaddi World Cup on STAR Sports channel, created a stir of sorts when she shared the stage with Bollywood heartthrob Sidharth Malhotra who is the brand ambassador for Pepe Jeans. Svelte Pooja Bhamrah is such a ‘size zero’ that even the slimmest of Pepe Jeans didn’t fit her and slipped down her waist – so much so that the Pepe Jeans team had to rework their slimmest pairs for girls! She is fondly remembered for her Set Wet gel ad with Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh.
Attractive Pooja Bhamrah won rave reviews for the much acclaimed and popular STAR Plus television show ‘Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara’ produced by Bollywood filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. Her ‘drunken act’ as Vyoma serenading Rehan (Aashim Gulati) in the serial has become a rage and a classic example of her histrionics
Earlier, Pooja enacted the lead role on Channel V’s ‘Yeh Jawani Tara Riri’ and played the character of Dr. Sana in Endemol’s project for channel V ‘Swim Team’.
Mesmerising Pooja Bhamrah, who has been living the best of both worlds of Mumbai & Bengaluru, has also been the official host of the recent editions of Lakme Fashion Week and several Times Group events including Wedding Times Fashion Fiesta featuring ace designer Vikram Phadnis. She also hosted Zee trendsetters, a Bollywood show for international viewing. She hosted a show for Fortis Hospital in association with Archana Kochhar and also did shows for Anamika Khanna and Atul Kasbekar amongst others.
Charting a different path, Pooja Bhamrah has also done theatre and is acting in a play named ‘Kaun Salim kiski Anarkali’, a parody of sorts. The recent performance was in Madh Island sponsored by a luxury realty property major.
Pooja Bhamrah has acted in several TV Commercials for leading brands such as Samsung S9, Close-up, Myntra, Citibank and Santoor Talcum Powder. The Mumbai-bred girl has done her B-Tech in biotechnology and aspired to get into research but destiny had its own plans. 5ft 9 inches tall Pooja could have well chosen a cushy 9 am to 5 pm high paying job but then this cerebral Punjabi beauty was destined to rule the ramp. While she was preparing for her MBA entrance exams, Pooja got a lucky break in modeling and stormed into the Indian fashion scene with Punjab international fashion week by Storm fashion company where she walked the ramp for the first. Since then there has been no looking back. Very soon, she was up there winning multiple beauty pageant crowns and other accolades. Miss Queen of India 2011, Miss Oriental Tourism India 2012, Max fashion Icon 1st runner’s up all of them followed in quick succession brining Pooja into the limelight.
Having won the initial level beauty contests, the prestigious fashion shows of country beckoned Pooja. Her long legs and confident poise while walking on the ramp gave her a cutting edge over other newcomers and Pooja soon became a regular at every other fashion week.
