Pritam is all set to compose from aspirational anthems for Ranveer Singh’s 83

Here is some great news for all those cricket enthusiasts who are eagerly waiting for Kabir Khan’s 83 to release. Starring Ranveer Singh, 83 is a biopic on one of India’s legendary cricketers Kapil Dev and will showcase his journey right from childhood to the epic World Cup in 1983, which India won against West Indies. What’s more? Well, singer-music composer Pritam Chakraborty is doing the music of the film.

The news was announced on the official Instagram handle of the film on Monday, 13th May 2019.

“Kabir’s solid presence and Ranveer’s vibrant energy together promises an exciting sports film and I am looking forward to working on the score for ’83 with music that matches their madness. The film is even more special (to me) because the memory and the euphoria of the 1983 World cup victory is still fresh with me, even though I was a very young kid (at the time)! It was a moment for India like no other,” says Pritam.

Meanwhile, Pritam, who recently composed Ghar More Pardesia from Kalank, will also be composing music for the Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra and Chhichhore.
