Vidya Balan set to join Ronnie Screwvala to co-produce a short film ‘Natkhat’.

Actress Vidya balan has teamed up with the producer Ronnie Screwvala for a short film titled Natkhat. Vidya will not only act but also Co-produce. The film depicts the socially relevant issues and is directed by Shaan Vyas.

The descriptive note from the makers state that, “Natkhat addresses several issues such as patriarchy, gender inequality, rape culture, domestic abuse, compartmentalization by men in different relationship with women and in doing so surpasses all the possible barriers, be it age, gender, urban-rural divide and nationalitu. It leaves you with a message of parenting being key and potentially the solution to abolishing gender inequality and rape culture.”

Here’s what Vidya Balan Said in an official statement, “It’s the beautiful and the powerful story that called out to me in a way that made me want to act in it and also turn producer and who is better than RSVP to do it with!”
This will be the very first time Vidya will be seen acting in a short film also her very first time as a producer.

The short film is written by Annukampa Harsh known for Bindiya call Jugnu and City of Dreams. It is developed with RSVP associate producer Sanaya Irani.

Ronnie Screwvala is looking forward to work with Vidya balan, “When I first heard the script of ‘Natkhat’, I immediately knew a film has to be made. The film adresses so many issues and gives out a powerful message too,” he added.
