Bawaal, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor to release on 21 July

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are coming together for the first time in Bawaal directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It is one of the most awaited films of the year. Viewers have high expectations from the director as he has previously created movies like Dangal and Chichhore. The movie is shot across three Indian locations and  five European countries. It has a unique storyline set in the backdrop of World War II. There’s intense chemistry between the leads Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. Sharing a poster of the film, the actors wrote, “Badlega sab dilon ka haal kyunki duniya bhar mein hone wala hai Bawaal Iss July… banega mahaul as #BawaalGoesGlobal. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala said that ‘Bawaal’  is a special film for him and one of his most ambitious projects.

The movie did garner attention after it’s trailer release for the reference to ‘Hitler’ and ‘World War II’. Netizens expressed their opinions regarding the trailer saying there was an attempt to romanticize one of the biggest tragedies in the history. To clarify, director Nitesh said: “While creating a character, you can go back and look at the events and incidents which can play an important role in the overall arc of that character and the relationship in general”.

Bawaal starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is set to stream on Amazon Prime on July 21.
