Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie is already bringing in big bucks at the box office as Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 prepares to break the box office records set by his previous venture Pathaan. Jawan, slated for a September 7 release, has received 1.2 crore in advance reservations in the US alone. According to reports, Jawan has sold about 9700 tickets across 367 theaters in America for the movie’s opening day in September. 9200 of these were for Hindi performances, while 360 were for Telugu performances. 200 of those reserved seats were for the Tamil performances, the report said.

Last Monday, almost three weeks before the movie’s debut, advance bookings for Jawan began in a few international markets—a first for an Indian film. However, it is not a surprise decision on the side of the producers given Shah Rukh’s fame in regions like the US, UK, and Middle East.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan is set for a theatrical release on September 7 worldwide. It will be released in three languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Nayanthara, and Priyamani will also star in the film which features Deepika Padukone in a cameo. The film has been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and the music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The action thriller Jawan will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. In India, advance booking sales have not yet started but are anticipated to do so by the end of the month, one week before the film’s release.
