The Great Indian Family Trailer Review

By: Priyal Joshi

The Great Indian Family, a family-friendly comedy starring Vicky Kaushal, released its much anticipated trailer on Tuesday. Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Manushi Chhillar, and other actors who star in the movie are part of the ensemble cast. After a 5-year hiatus, renowned director Vijay Krishna Acharya, whose credits include the Dhoom film series, makes his directorial debut with this movie. Vicky’s character and the craziness that breaks out in his family as a result of certain unexpected circumstances serve as the center of the movie’s plot.

Vicky is depicted in the trailer as Bhajan Kumar, also known as Ved Vyas Tripathi, a Pandit family member. Vicky Kaushal’s Bhajan Kumar enters the little town of Balarampur where the trailer opens. He introduces himself as Ved Vyas Tripathi and sings Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aja. He gives a glimpse of his family, members of the long-established pandit community of Balarampur. However, he continues to whine about how his only issue was that he couldn’t find someone to date because girls would touch his feet to ask for blessings. Bhajan is a well-known devotional singer who has trouble finding love because of his line of work. The family gets a letter from an unidentified source one day claiming that Bhajan is from a Muslim household. The Tripathi family is plunged into chaos and lunacy, and the rest of the movie’s narrative is on how the family strives to adjust to their new situation.

Also starring Yashpal Sharma, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, Aasif Khan, Ashutosh Ujjwal, Bharti Perwani, The Great Indian Family will be released in theatres worldwide on September 22, 2023.
