Dharma Productions has done it again. The trailer of Chand Mera Dil arrived and within minutes it was clear — this is not just another campus romance. Director Vivek Soni has crafted something that feels genuinely alive, emotionally layered and utterly real. In a landscape crowded with situationships and casual love stories, Chand Mera Dil dares to go deeper — into obsession, pride and the messy, complicated territory of modern love.
The trailer introduces us to Chandni and Aarav, two people deeply, perhaps dangerously, in love. But this is not a simple love story. The central conflict revolves around something far more potent than heartbreak — respect. When Ananya Panday’s character declares “Izzat Pyaar Se Badi Hoti Hai,” it lands like a punch. And the haunting line “Legendary love stories ki ending tragic hoti hai” sets the tone for what promises to be an emotionally devastating film.
Ananya Panday is outstanding in this trailer. There is a maturity and rawness in her eyes that she has never shown before — a quiet vulnerability balanced with fierce dignity. She has clearly evolved as an actor and this could be the role that defines her career. Every frame she is in, she commands complete attention.
Lakshya matches her beat for beat. His portrayal of Aarav feels lived-in and honest — the kind of performance that doesn’t announce itself but quietly devastates you. The chemistry between the two leads is electric and completely believable. You feel their love, their tension and their pain in equal measure.
Director Vivek Soni deserves enormous credit for the tone he has set. He understands this generation — caught between wanting everything and risking losing it all. The trailer never feels manipulative or melodramatic. Instead it feels true, which is the hardest thing to achieve in a Bollywood romance. Produced by Karan Johar and Dharma Productions, the film carries all the visual polish you expect — beautiful frames, stunning locations and music that sounds absolutely legendary.
This is one of the most exciting trailers of 2026. May 22nd cannot come soon enough.
Verdict: A trailer that promises heartbreak, beauty and a love story for the ages.
